What Joints/ Conditions Do I Inject?
I am pleased to offer Private Steroid Injections for a wide range of common MSK conditions
- Knees - Meniscal Pain / Osteoarthritis (OA)
- Shoulders - Sub acromial and Glenohumeral Joint - Tendinopathy / Frozen Shoulder / Osteoarthritis
- Trigger Fingers and Thumbs
- Carpal Tunnel
- Lateral Hip Pain / Bursitis / GTPS / Tendinopathy
- De Quervain’s Tendinopathy / Radial Styloid Tenosynovitis
- 1st CMCJ (thumb) Osteoarthritis
What Types of Injection are there?

Steroid Injections
Good to resolve inflammation and pain over the short to medium term, Usually begins working within a few days. More information about steroid injections can be found here. |
Hyaluronic Acid Injections (Knees Only)
Mainly advised for early knee osteoarthritis or degeneration of the knee joint, it is thought to improve lubrication of the joint reducing stiffness and pain. More information about Hyaluronic acid injections can be found here |
What is the process?
You are not just booking an injection, all appointments involve an assessment of your problem to make sure an injection is the right way forwards for you.
You do not need a referral from your GP
Once you enquire @ www.gosportphysio.co.uk/appointments.html
You will receive a free telephone appointment to discuss your case.
If an injection is suitable we will book an appointment at a time that works for you.
From there I will send you a consent form & medical form to complete and send back (all digital no printing required). This allows me to generate the prescription in time for the appointment and ensures we are safe to offer you an injection.

What are the Costs?
Prices listed include everything, including the face to face assessment, prescription cost and cost of injection, there are no hidden fees. If you are on a NHS waiting list for the injection I will reduce the price by 10%.
