COVID - 19 Risk Assessment

I plan to reopen the clinic on July 22nd in line with government guidelines and advice from the Chartered Society of Physiotherapy. I will need to risk assess and weigh up the pros and cons of each patient coming in for a face to face consultation.

The decision on whether the appointment should be face to face or virtual at first will be one we come to together, we need to take into account what the problem is, your background, age, past medical history and your preferences.

I have completed a thorough risk assessment for the day to day running of the clinic, the highlights of this are:
  • Every piece of equipment touched by a client will be cleaned before the next one arrives
  • Appointment times will be staggered to allow for cleaning time between appointments and to ensure no crossover between clients
  • All clients will be asked to use the alcohol gel provided on entry and bring a face covering with them to wear during the appointment
  • Clients will be screened for covid symptoms before entering the clinic & when booking their appointment
  • Pros and cons of face to face appointments will be discussed with client upon booking an appointment
  • I will be wearing appropriate PPE for the entire appointment
  • A deep clean of the clinic will take place daily
  • BACS payment is preferred, I will accept cash but it will need to be the correct amount as no change will be given out to limit cross contamination
